The electronic Vietnam visa can be obtained entirely online
In February 2017, the Government of Vietnam introduced the electronic visa system facilitating a traveler's life. Since then, nationals of certain countries who plan to visit Vietnam can apply for a tourist visa online. The Vietnamese visa is a one-type visa whose holder can enter Vietnam mainly for tourism-related activities. Moreover, the electronic Vietnam visa also enables trips of buisness or tranist character.
Eligible applicants only need to submit an online visa application form within 5 business days prior to the planned trip. It is the maximum processing time to receive the approved visa directly to the email address.

Once you have received your confirmation number, you may use it to check the current status of your application. Within maximally 5 business days, you will receive an approved Vietnamese visa too. Important: Change of entry point is possible as long as you do not change the way of travel, e.g., from sea to air.
